Five Star Felines is a luxury cattery in Fife opened in 2016, owned and run by Gill Nelson, a registered veterinary nurse of 20 years experience.
In a rural setting easily accessible from Dundee and Fife, Five Star Felines offers spacious indoor and outdoor accommodation, individual care plans and the benefits of having a highly trained vet nurse in charge.Here at Five Star Felines we love animals of all shapes and sizes!

We know that cats are individuals, and have their own likes and dislikes, and special routines. That is why we try very hard to cater to your cat’s specific needs, whether that is diet, bedding, toys, or housing special friends together. We want to ensure your cat’s holiday here is as comfortable and happy as possible.
As a vet nurse, Gill has years of experience caring for cats – nursing, medicating, feeding and handling all types and ages of cats. This gives her a unique ability to look after your special cat to a very high standard.

We were very nervous leaving our cat we have just recently rescued to go on a short holiday. Gill is wonderful and put myself and son at ease straight away! The accommodation is light, spacious, clean and comfy. Whilst we were away Gill sent us 2 video clips of Star and she was extremely happy. Gill definitely provides a 5* service and it’s very clear that she has a genuine love for animals. Five star felines is certainly our choice of cattery for the anytime we need in the future. After a bad experience with a previous cattery was nervous about putting my 14 year old tabby into a cattery again. Five Star was recommended to me and I cannot thank Gill enough for the care and attention she gave her during her stay even down to removing the matts in her coat. Things are run in an efficient, professional and friendly manner and getting an update on how she was doing when we were away was fantastic. Maisie will be back when we next take a holiday 😊
